Welcome to Apollo Beach Christian Preschool. We believe our preschool is an extension of the home and we desire to partner with our families in the education of their child. God has a plan for each child and we are honored to be a part of His kingdom work.

Bell Shoals Baptist Academy Apollo Beach is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International which is recognized by the State of Florida as an accrediting body for Christian schools.

Anchor Homeschool

ANCHOR (A Nurturing Christian Homeschool ORganization) is a Southshore Ministry of the Bell Shoals Baptist Church Apollo Beach Campus. Our mission is to help homeschool families Follow Jesus, Love People, and Make Disciples. ANCHOR is a support group and is not intended to take the place of parental instruction of core curriculum. ANCHOR offers a variety of volunteer driven activities and perks, such as a co-op, sports program, events, and meet-ups. *You do not need to be a member of Bell Shoals church to be a member of the ANCHOR Homeschool ministry.

ANCHOR Homeschool Membership

The annual family fee to become a member of ANCHOR Homeschool at the Bell Shoals Apollo Beach Campus is $25 during the month of May ($30 otherwise). Membership is required to be involved in our activities. Membership fees cover facility usage, maintenance, and supplies, as well as many benefits like special events, parent support meetings, used curriculum sale, FPEA discount, and eligibility to register for co-op classes and sports. ANCHOR Homeschool membership at the Apollo Beach Campus is separate from F.I.S.H. membership at the Brandon campus, and does not permit admission into Brandon campus events. *Membership forms and payment can be dropped off at the Bell Shoals Apollo Beach office M-Th 9am-5pm or Fridays 9am-noon. 

ANCHOR Homeschool Co-op

Classes for the Fall 2017 semester will begin on August 14! ANCHOR Homeschool membership is required to be part of the co-op. Classes will be available for nursery through high school on Mondays from 9:15am-12:30pm for 12 weeks. This includes a 15 minute opening chapel time, followed by three one-hour classes. Parents are expected to teach/assist two of the classes and will have a break one hour to connect with other parents. Co-op Fees are $10 per child ($30 max per family). NOTE: This co-op requires a commitment. Please only join if you know you can be present and prepared each week.

What is Co-op?
Co-op is a structured learning time, organized and carried out by and for ANCHOR Homeschool members. The purpose of Co-op is to encourage students to learn something new in a group setting, while fostering a sense of community.

Who is Co-op For?
Co-op is for families who are members of ANCHOR Homeschool with school-aged children and their younger siblings.

Where Do We Meet?
Currently, ANCHOR Homeschool Co-op meets at the Bell Shoals Baptist Church Apollo Beach Campus.

What Types of Classes are Offered at Co-op?
Classes are offered on a wide range of topics, often extra-curricular in nature, sometimes taking advantage of a group setting, and are not intended to replace or supplant the academic track that families have in place. Each semester’s classes are determined by what participating families choose to offer.

Family Expectations for Co-op Time
The general expectation is that one adult from each family will either teach or assist in a class or be a helper in another way related to Co-op.
