Refuge Ministry Overview
Refuge, the College Age Ministry of Bell Shoals Baptist Church, exists to point all college-age adults in the direction of Christ. We are an eclectic group of 18-25 year olds (in college, some just out of college, and some in the local work force) that strive to glorify God through creating a community centered around the study of God's word and participating in local and foreign missions.
There are many ways in which we, as Refuge, create a Christ-centered community. We meet weekly for Refuge I Thursdays, at 7:30pm in the Multi Purpose Center (MPC) for a time of fellowship, worship, and teaching. On Sundays, Bible Fellowship groups meet to experience application-based teaching founded on God's word. Community Groups offer a setting where Scripture intersects with real life. Community groups are not just another Bible study. This is really the time in the week for college-aged men and women to discuss the Word of God, build authentic community, pray for one another and find creative ways to serve together to advance the Kingdom of God.
